Church Services

If you have never been to a church service at St Mark’s before, you may be a little unsure about what to expect. The information below gives a general idea but if you can’t find what you’re looking for, we’re just an email or phone call away.

Sundays at 9:00am

This is a traditional, contemplative service of Holy Communion. We usually sing a hymn or two, there's a short talk, some prayers and those who wish can receive communion or have a blessing. The service lasts approximately 45 minutes and refreshments are served afterwards.

Sundays at 10:30am

This is the busier of our two Sunday services. Worship is informal and relaxed in style and our teaching programme seeks to help us engage effectively in today’s world. The music is led by a worship band with a mixture of both traditional and contemporary songs. We regularly take communion together and on most Sundays there is also a children's programme. The service lasts 60-75 minutes and refreshments are served afterwards.

Each Wednesday we also have a service of Holy Communion in church. It usually lasts about 30 minutes and we meet for refreshments afterwards in church.
